The Doings up at the Hall

09.30.2012 by bagman //

It’s now out in the open, the Ombudsman’s report on the corruption and political influence on councilors of Darebin council by right wing faction leaders of the ALP is about to rival the corruption and destruction evident at Brimbank council.

Certain councilors have been under investigation in regards to building approvals, nepotism and undue influence by factional and ethnic warlords on the running of council.

The questions must be asked about the role of David Asmar who works for Senator Steven Conroy and is the husband of former Mayor Dianne Asmar in the running of council. The report is so bad that the CEO has gone on long leave for a few months and police are involved with investigations into his old role at Moonee Valley council The undue influence on the running of council goes to the heart of the Gillard Govt Senator Conroy, Minister Bill Shorten and Senator David Feeney all have their fingers in the poisoned pie.

These are the same players who involved themselves in the destruction of the once good Health services union. These are the players that chewed up and spat out a union that once capably represented its members but destroyed it for its own factional gains.

The corruption and nepotism rife in this council is unparralled in local council history and we will await the time for these corrupt factional leaders to be brought to account
