Media has no right to suppress truth

12.01.2017 by thebagman //

Barnaby Joyce has a number of problems with his personal life and journalists are claiming that, because it’s personal, the public have no right to know.

I disagree, the issues that affect the deputy prime minister’s life is our business and so it should be.

The problem of his alcohol abuse in itself is a national shame and sets the wrong example for punters. His personal life, if rumours are true, are shameful. Whatever affects his family affects all Australians. As the second most senior politician in the country he has a duty to come clean and advise the public before his upcoming election.

If it’s true that he is having a affair with a staff member we have a right to know, if that staff member is in a advanced state of pregnancy we have even more reason to be told the truth .
The media have no right to suppress the truth if the truth is known.
